hey here is a story i wrote...
a faint glow appeared on the dark horizon. it was orange with a hint of pink. the sun was rising and i was running for my life. laughter echoed in the dark alley behind me.
i could see tall buildings in the distance beckoning me, urging me faster, reaching towards me with open arms as if saying “we will keep you safe”. a witch hunter chased after me. the charm around my neck began to glow.
“hurry,” a familiar voice said in my head, “you must reach the safety of the city.” as quickly as it had come the glow and the voice went away. i stumble but regain my balance before i can fall down. my legs were tired and felt rubbery.
i was slowing down and he never seemed to tire. i could feel him gaining on me, getting closer and closer.
