The Beautiful Creatures Movie- You in or out?

Hey Guys! You probably know that the authors of the bestselling Beautiful Creatures Series are planning a movie and that recently they have posted pictures of the main cast. Well What do you think? Do you think they look like what you imagined? If not, how would you change them? And are you with the idea of the whole movie thing or are books just enough for you?

Check in and share your opinions. I would love to see what you guys wrote and remember. There are no right or wrong answers! :)

I've looked at the cast pictures up so far and I'm not impressed close to nothing is what I imagined it to be I mean I would have loved to see it if It met my expectations but I don't know if I'll even see It at all so far from what has been revealed I'm thinking the books or good enough for me. I probably however will give in and see it out of curiosity I don't know maybe Im being to judgemental and I should just believe that everyone working on the film will do beautiful creatures justice. I just love these books so much I want the movie to be perfect.

The cast members are all wrong, but I will definately see the movie!  I can't wait!

You're right! The characters were pretty different than what I expected too! But I will probably watch the movie out of just curiousity. Thanks for commenting. Please do check out my page. I have a question about myself that i am passing around. Join in on the fun! :)

Totally agree with you on that Kat!

My family will not go to this movie. From the casting it is appearant that the movie is changing the story in fundemental ways. It looks to be at least as wrong as the Percy Jackson movie. We will stick to the books.

Ya, the Percy Jackson movie was a disaster. It left out allo f the good parts from the book. I might watch this movie just for curiousity but I agree with you.

Well I refuse to see the movie before the book series is done. I am terrified that bad plot changes and/or bad actors will besmudge my potrayal of the characters in my head (and I'm not too impressed with the casting-- did the directors even READ the character discreptions?). But my friend and I are both head-over-heels with the series, so we'll force ourselves to see it together. Judging by the presumed release date, we ought to get the fourth and final book before we get the movie, so we'll probably see it in theatres together, then go home and whine till 1 AM about all of the things they did wrong (like we've done with Harry Potter, Twilight, and Percy Jackson xD).

So there's my long-winded opinion. Lol.

Twilight, and most of the Harry Potter movies stayed reasonablely close to the cannon of the books (shrunken head not withstanding) The Hunger Games stayed amazingly close to the books.  What I fear with Beautiful Creatures is that the casting shows a total disregard for the essence of the story. Much the same as they blew it with Percy Jackson, making changes that just will not work with the book story line. By having a black mayor of Gatlin they are diluting Ethan's need to escape the narrow confines of a narrow minded white enclave. It does not take long to visit some of the small South Carolina towns on the coast near the barrier islands where Gullah was spoken to find the culture that is in Beautiful Creatures, it is unique, quaint, and grotesquely beautiful. The movie producer is too lazy and cowardly to take this project on completely.  The producer read the discriptions and chickened out.

I would love to know who plays Lena. Lena is my favorite character besides Sarafine ( Lena's mother). I'm not sure that the cast fits the characters, but i'll still see the movie.

Lena IS Actually okay. If she dyes her hair brown (the colour I imagined her hair to be) and change her eye colour, she would be alright althought I think the girl chosen to play Ethan's ex girlfriend in the movie is more suitable and more accurate to my imagination of Lena for this role.

I cant wait for the movie!! I think the casting are all pretty wrong though. The new Ethan is TERRIBLE!!!
