Okay, so I got this e-mail from the website Caster-Girls that discussed the character of Ridley, asking the question if she was really "dark." I mean, we all know that she was claimed by "the darkness" yet, did apart of her stay the old Ridley? Take the example near the end of the book when she talks to Link and lets Ethan's father live? Maybe she's not all bad.

Any thoughts??

I'm hoping there's a way to 'fight' the darkness somehow...I think Ridley has to have some good left in her. And I'm kind of hoping that maybe Link will have something to do with helping her want to fight it? Lol...probably way off, but I just want them to be together. :)
i think Ridley is being what she thinks shes supposed to be...kinda like how lena was with her going dark like it was inevitable so ridley is acting how she thinks Dark Casters are supposed to act...does that make sense...i also think Link will be Ridleys Ethan if that makes sense...and im also probably WAY off...
nooo your not way off i think your right sarah i think that she will get back with link and betweeen him and lena they will help get her back light because i reacon lena was like her sister and no matter how insane or dark you go you cant kill or hurt someone you truely love i think that why she likes link because she loves in and she did that for ethan and ethan makes lena happy and helps lena when shes not there like ethans taken rileys place looking after lena and i think she it greatfull for thattt :)
omg amy i think your soo right because noo matter what happens when you love someone, a sister, father, mother, brother, boyfriend/girlfriend, a friend, a best friend, etc you dont just stop loving them, it doesnt end that way and even if they forget their feelings when they change, supposedly, you can always remember. besides if they're supposed to forget their feelings of love and care and such why does Genevieve remember her feelings for the original Ethan Wate when she turns on the night of his death?? make sense??
yeah yeah :) i think she will do something and she will turn light and omg when i read the book i cant belive that larkin was on the dark side :/ thats well bad i was like screaming NOOOO !! as if at the book !! :L but yeah i think by the last book she will be on light because she said on her 16th birthday she ran away because she said she didint want to hurt lena because she was turning dark and it takes love to do that :)
i kno i was lik screaming at the book after i finished rereading that part gaping at the page ahaha i liked larkin too he was cool!! haha but yeah i think ridley if not by the end of the next book will be good at the end of the series!! haha it takes a lot of love to leave the people you love for their own good!!
ayeee ayeeee :)
she sorta kreeps me out,but shes cool!
Okay, prepare yourself, this could get kind of long, because the character Ridley is so fascinating. Though I'm not sure I like Ridley, I like her character-does that make sense? I appreciate her complexity and the conflict she brings into the story. And the scene where she blew up the lights at the dance was one of my favorite parts in the book. I just enjoyed her being this sexy dark creature, a siren (which was such a great title for her!). in fact, that's where I'm going to go with this-the definition of a Siren is basically a beautiful creature (ha) who lured in men and then devoured them. Well, she doesn't necessarily devour the boys, but she's terrific at luring them in and getting them to do whatever she wants, as demonstrated near the end of the book. But I don't think she's completely dark-remember Ethan thought he saw a little fear in her eyes. I think she got turned dark, bu like Lena, didn't want to. But then she was being pressured by Sarafine and forced to do these things and wield her gifts, and she didn't have a choice. I also agree with sarah elizabeth-that she felt it was inevitable anyway and was doing what she felt she was supposed to do.
I'm actually writing a fan fiction that's Ridley's story-it's in the very early stages, haven't even typed it up yet, but if anyone's interested, let me know and I'll send you pieces when I get to it.
your story sounds interesting rachel and im glad you agree with me!! haha and another thing you sound lik me with contradicting thoughts but they make perfect sense all at once!!! haha
