Opinions on beautiful chaos

Okay I was upset about the ending :,( so I want to know what the rest of the caster chronicle fans think :) what did u think about the book? Did u love it or did u just hate the ending? Why was ur favorite part?? What part did u hate the most?? Any quotes u want to share? Post them here!

i know right i really do hope there is another one and that they stop with all the epic moon stuff so nobody gets hurt there needs to be PEACE!!! like serious it just threw me in shock when i herd ethan died even though we all know he is not dead it takes you a while to thnk about it after the shock wares off if theres no ethan theres not another book which means he is alive still in someway scince there is another book and dude his dad still seems weird to me even though he got help its seems like its fake and he is still messed up wonder what the name of the 4th book is.!!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT FOR THE 4TH ONE OMGG!!!:D

I LOVED the book and of course I wasn't very happy about the ending. But I believe, Ethan knew what he was doing. He wasn't gonna let the girl he loved and everybody else he loved die, alongside the world. He felt like he had a duty to do and he needed to protect the people he loved. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life. But I know he's not gonna really die. I mean, this book is basically written it ETHAN'S perspective! Killing him would be killing the biggest part of the book, him! He's the main character and we all know you CANNOT kill off the main character. Ever. I think the part that broke my heart the most was not Ethan dying. But Amma yelling and yelling "That's MY boy!" it killed me. Imagine watching your son/daughter fall over a tower? I understand what Amma did to stop it. She did it to protect her boy. :/

i agree with all of u. killing ethan is like twilight without bella. the series was in his point of view and i cant think of a better person to be the point of view. and maybe your right. maybe ethan lives some how. which i really really really hope since he is and always will be the hero and absolutly NO ONE wants to see the hero dead or the main couple broken up for good.

also the part that broke my heart was the whole ending really. ethan saying goodbye to lena, amma trying to stop him, and the biggest part to me, him jumping off the tower and his last thoughts were lena.

yea I think the wheel of fate will have something to do with the next book and Ethan. Maybe the wheel will Ethan back and male Amma pay a price.

I love this series so much! I did cry when I found out that ethan fell off the tower,But! That dosen't mean he died does it? I've read the comments and i was just thinking about if he was saved and who would do it.I don't think l;ean will save him,nor Amma,Link,Malcon,and even Boo. Who's save him might be his dead mother,Lilia.Cause if you think hard about it,she did SAVE Malcon and ethan has been seeing her alot.Though maybe some weird twist ends up coming and has to deal with the book of moons who knows.We stilol have one or two more books in the series,so don't quit on them now!! We have to find out if ethan lives and if the book is returned or destoryed :D

I think they're killing Ethan. Honestly, they can't just throw him off the tower and pull him back up like a sadistic yo-yo. And in the book it says"And all the way to the bottom"which is insinuating he hits the ground.

I'm not campaigning for the death of our dear Ethan, but really, it will add to the depth of this series to lose a main character. This is a great book as it is, but I believe with Beautiful Chaos it reached an entire different level of literature; it was thought provoking and twisted and meaningful. There was not a single wasted sentence. The authors really out did themselves with it-- if they don't kill Ethan I don't think I will have lost all faith, but I will be dissapointed. It would revoke the series of all the maturity it earned in book three.

Now while I hope they do kill Ethan, I absolutely believe he will be brought back in some form. I'm not sure if it was said on this forum, but I think Ethan will be brought back after completing some kind of Otherworld quest, and will come back as a Caster, therefore ensuring a pain-free (literally) relationship with Lena.

As for Lena while Ethan is off on his Back-From-Death quest, I hope we will get to see the stronger side of her. I feel like in book one, she was confused and hurt, understandably, and in book two she was rather whiny and unbearable. I could hardly stand that book, it got on my last nerve with her and John. In book three she was better, but I still don't think we've seen was Lena is really made of. She's more courageous than we've read, I'm sure. I hope they will be able to incorporate that into the fourth and final book.

To everyone who keeps saying "You can't kill the main character!", well yes you can. Go Ask Alice, Harry Potter, My Sister's Keeper (the book), Of Mice and Men (several references were made to it, come on people), 13 Reasons Why, and Wuthering Heights are just a few novels in which the main character dies. Many classics kill off their main characters.

And please stop comparing Beautiful Creatures to Twilight. While there are admittedly a few similarities, these can be found in next to every paranormal book and honestly, Beautiful Creatures is a different level of reading.

Well, I wrote a book. But that's my two cents.

Anticipating the last book :)

I couldn't agree with Hondine more. Took the words right out of my mouth. I don't want Ethan to be dead - for good. But I really do think if they killed off Ethan - for now anyway - then like you said, it'd add SOOO much depth and drama and all that to the fourth and final book. And I really do hope they bring him back to life as a Caster and therefore Ethan and Lena's intimate/sexual/phsyical part of their relationship will be solved. All the more needing Ethan's Death. So, yeah, I REALLY hope they do that. Wish Fall 2012 would come faster!!! lol

i so agree i was really schocked but I knew after i thought about it tht he didnt die becuzz i did my research nd it said theres going to be a 4th book but i dnt noe yet and the main characters where ethan and lena so hes not dead maybe lena save him since they can read minds and he was thikig of her while he went down so she must have done something im just relaxed that im not the only one tht thinks hes not dead

Was I the only one who cried when Lena and Ethan were talking about Ethan's decision to die and she was trying to give him her necklace?

I guess that was my favourite part, it was so sad and romantic.

I cried like such a baby during the scene when Ethan and Lena were having one last moment together before he died and she's begging him, sobbing and pleading him not to sacrifice himself. And when he said they were talking about the lives of their loved ones and she went, "I don't care." Oh my god...because we all know how much she loves her family and here she was saying she didn't care about that if it meant his death? I cried even harder. Made me think how before Lena was saying to Ethan during the one scene that she knew her choice to be both Light and Dark came with a price and she was saying all bravely, "I'm ready to pay it," only for it to turn out that it was Ethan and then here she is sobbing so hard her eyes were puffy and red. I wonder if she ends up blaming herself for his death because of this. Which makes me wonder even more how she's gonna handle his death. Which only makes me want the last and final book even more! lol When is Fall 2012 gonna finally come??
