I know right? I mean, to me killing off Ethan will be like killing Nikita off the CW's Nikita. Not only will we lose a MAJOR element, the very core of the whole series, but then like a good solid 80% of the books audience will be sawed off!!! No one wants to see Ethan getting killed!!! And not only that, but no happy ending for Lena? Having her true love sacrificed to (literally) save the world? I mean, come on! The authors can't be that stupid to make that big of a mistake! So, yeah to me, Ethan's GOTTA live SOMEHOW.
At least I hope so..........

Ya. They just cant. The series will not be good without him at all. I dont think the authors would be that stupid. They have to save him. If they dont I will cry for day and days and days. I cried when they were laying in the field saying goodbye and Lena gives Ethan her necelace. It was soo sad.

the whole end thing when he was talking to everyone made me cry i just finished it. i go back and forth i think he wont die but then i think he will until the 19th moon and all of beautful whatever is his point of view as he helps lena get through yet another epic prophacy so he doesnt technically die his soul is just departed kind of like lovely bones except that ethan comes back to the living and has possibly picked up some BA powers and is now a wayward/caster of epicness and him and lena make cute little epic babies

I thought about that too. I wondered if Ethan DOES die, but is brought back to life and discovers he's now a caster. No longer a mortal. Which also would mean, he and Lena can be together physically without Ethan getting killed. The only problem in the first 3 books solved! I wonder if that's what the authors are gonna do. Cuz it also makes the most sense for everything. I now kinda hope that's what they do. Bring Ethan back as a caster instead. With kicking bad ass powers!!!! lol

I am disappointed that Ethan died at the end of this book but I can't help but feel that he isn't really going to be dead that some how he's either going to be saved or find his way back to the living. It makes me think that because at the end all he was thinking about was Lena. Like most people if he doesn't come back I'm gonna cry like a baby, because the ending already made me cry but at least I've got hope that he's gonna come back from all this in the next book. Plus I don't know what it will do for me as far as reading any more books in this series, up to now I've liked ever book and I didn't dislike this book just found it really sad but if Ethan truly does die then I might give up reading this series all together. It just won't be the same without him!!
P. S. I really like the idea of him coming back as a Caster, it would be nice if they could be together without the worry.

Ohkay, so I just finished the book today and I am sooo ready for the next one. Seeing how Ethan got back with the other half of his soul he probably doesn't die. I mean if he did, just no, Lena would be crushed and just no. Also I think that since he was thinking about Lena, maybe she sent Boo or there will be a huge storm and Ethan will end up falling in a huge flood.? Who knows but I can not wait to see what happens next <3.

i think the wheel of fate will save him just like it saved john when he jumped cuzz ethan is the MAIN character other than lena and without him the story is just over and it cant be its like for example(twilight fans)in new moon when edward was going to kill himself if he did then the story would have bee sad and boring and theres going to b a 4th book and ethans in it so he cant b dead

i loved everymomment of it! i really hope that another book comes out. becasue the ending left it open for another one. maybe ethan has to find his way through the otherworld, and come out whole once again. i so hope there is another .... maybe a title like beautiful peace or beautiful beginning.
