Am i the only one who doesnt like the choice of actors for Lena and Ethan???

ok first off the characters of lena and ethan are totally messed up. they chose the complete wrong people for these roles. Ethan is supposed to be really tall. the actor they  chose is extremely close to the smae size as Lena, and in the book they stated many times that he is VERY much taller than that. and then you have Lena. she looks nothing like the description that they had for her in the book. when i picture Lena i see this tough girl with a wall up. i mean she wears biker boots for crying out loud!!! she needs to look atleast a little like the character that the authers created. and then you have the fact that both of them are WAY to old to be playing SIXTEENN YEAR OLDS!!!!! you can tell right off the bat that they both are atlest in their 2o's and it ruins the whole process of seeing how Lena and Ethan change as teenagers in my oppinion. i have alot more to say about the actors chosen but i want to hear what you guys have to say about it. so let me know whay you think because i know that im not the only one who feels like this is a mistake :)

I agree they should change the actors before its to late in the shooting of the movie.

I agree, but here's the thing. The movie has already been shooting and actually, they're getting ready to finish. The first actor of choice for Ethan, I was happy about, but he had to leave. The whole Lena deal. No. Just no. 

Another thing though, you realize it's based more on acting abilities than looks? I'd rather have a great movie than bad actors that look pretty.

you're not the only one until they could get the Ethan to have long hair and look like he's in a high school basketball team and to get the lena to have black hair contacts and that special birthmark im cool with them but right now i dont like them, the director could've done better.

I don't like the people chosen for the movie one bit.

Ethan is the complete opposite to how I pictured him. He's supposed to be tall and lean and have floppy hair.

And Lena has big green eyes and black hair.

Both of them look waaayyy older and so it doesn't exactly have the same relatable effect to it, if you see what I mean.

I really wish that they could find someone else. :/

I completely agree with you! What about Lena's hair????? God, what the hell were they thinkin? He has CURLY BLACK hair!!!!! Not wavy brown!!!!!!! And why is this Ethan so full of muscles?

Really? You started a "I hate the actors/actresses for the movie" discussion on a FAN sight? You hate something so much that you are going to join something based on the thing you hate so you can hate it some more? All of you people: Do you know what the outside world looks like? Do you know what sunshine is? It's really pretty.

Please, if you don't like how the movie is going to be, then DON'T GO SEE IT! What ever happened to staying away from the things you hated?

yeah your right,they do look way to old to be playing teenagers......they really don't fit the decription in the book, however I'm gonn wait until i see the movie before i get too judgy....who knows they might surprised us.  What concerns me is they guy they chose to play Macon Ravenwood..Am i the only one miffed about this?  Hes way to old looking.  I picture him as this suave kinda intimidating gentleman...Not some realy old guy..he just doesn't do it for me

Thant you for waiting to see the movie before you hate it... But please, don't have a huge hissy fit just because Ethan isn't tall. It isn't really mentioned in the book except in the beginning of the first book

youre not the only one but one idea and it happens a lot...is that when they were vastin gfor beautiful creatures, the actors and actresses that auditioned didn't give as good a performance as this cast. take the vampire diaries for example...tv show and cast members are waaaay different than the books but i love it regardless

no i totally agree i think the actors are all wrong it kind of makes me wonder if i want to see the movie cause i have a vision in my head based on how the characters were described and i know the pictures of the actors and actresses do not look right but come on its not a reason for anyone to hate it or hate anyone who feels differently but i am definately hoping the movie comes out better than im expecting

I totally agree

Lena to me is suppose to be a little more punk

And Ethan is suppose to be more dangly with muscle and not john breed looking
